Dr. Roxane and Ken Smith, our, founders, became concerned after reviewing scientific data showing the long-term impacts alcohol metabolism has on the body’s cellular health.
Dr. Smith reached out to Jon Rinker, another founder, to study how the body’s natural enzymic and microbial systems breaks down and eliminates alcohol.
Jon’s review of published research produced the theory that it was possible to replicate the body’s own natural metabolic process with similar strains of bacteria found in probiotics.
When exposing these bacterial strains to a co-enzymic catalysts, Jon discovered these probiotics can metabolize alcohol in the stomach and GI tract BEFORE it is absorbed into the blood stream.
Studies and trials conducted with volunteers revealed when large quantities of excess alcohol are eliminated in the stomach, this accelerate the liver’s own capacity to metabolism the remaining alcohol, quicker.
The solution emerged …. GET TO THE ALCOHOL, BEFORE THE ALCOHOL GETS INTO THE BLOODSTREAM.
Other ingredients were later added to aid with metabolism, cellular repair, recovery, and the elimination of free radicals throughout the body.
Our findings were submitted to the US Patent Office. As a result, we received:
- A US utility patent and continuation application to develop additional applications.
- Issued patents for 9 countries around the world
- Pending patent applications in 3 additional countries.
We continued to research and refine our product’s capacity, while developing the most efficient delivery system, all of which are now available in ALLIVO.

2014, In search for a viable solutions, Dr. Smith reached out to Jon Rinker, another founder. Jon focused his attention on how the body’s natural enzymic and microbial systems breaks down and eliminates alcohol.
By exposing these bacterial strains to co-enzymic catalysts, Jon discovered these probiotics could pre-emptively metabolize alcohol absorbed into the blood stream.
Other formula ingredients were added later to help with cellular recovery, repair, metabolism, and eliminating the free radicals throughout the body.
